I'm Thomas Adair. Marine, DJ, Producer, Solo Builder.

Welcome to my Field notes on the working patterns I've verified while building — with AI carrying the code side. Not tutorials. Not "how to prompt Claude" content. What actually holds up when a solo builder coordinates multiple AI sessions across weeks-long, months-long, sometimes year-long projects. I said solo builder mostly because I have heard that phrase often and people likely understand simply what that means. I like to think of myself as a Systems Architect. My intent for writing to you is to share my perspective about what I have learned, failed at, figured out how to improve, and continue to build. Each piece: one pattern, one specific case where it worked (or failed), honest about limits. If you're building alone with AI, this is for you.

What's coming

First up: the persistent memory bundle. How I keep Claude sessions coherent across model swaps, session death, and long gaps. It's a lightweight file-based system that has survived dozens of session rotations across weeks-long, sometimes months-long projects — and it's the substrate everything else in my workflow sits on top of. I have more topics coming like this, or I may talk about what I'm building on the music production side.
